VL118 – Unique dining chair with first-class comfort
VL118 is a versatile dining chair designed by Vermund Larsen in 1964.
VL118 combines comfortable back support and stylish armrests to create a masterpiece in chair design. The chair is elegantly shaped using a combination of FSC-certified wood and high-strength steel with the option of upholstery made from cloth or leather. The composition of the material provides a perfect balance between functionality, aesthetics, and comfort. VL118 is crafted and finished by hand at our facilities in Aalborg.
The dining chair´s light construction and elegant design is not only pleasing to the eye, but the comfort is incomparable, whether you prefer a chair with solid wood or padded finish. The chair can also be hung on the edge of the table (for easy cleaning underneath) without scratching the tabletop or the chair itself.
Materials
All wood is FSC-certified and produced by Danish suppliers.
The chair comes in different wood variants: natural oiled oak, white-oiled oak, smoked oak, black-stained oak, and natural oiled walnut. All padded surfaces have an FSC-certified core made from beech. The chair´s frame is made from high-strength steel, which comes in three different finishes: chrome, matt chrome, and black powder coat.
All textile and leather surfaces are produced in Denmark and carefully upholstered with quality padding. We offer the following types of fabric: Capture, Mood, Crisp, and Re-wool, as well as different types of leather.
Materials can be combined to express your own taste and style.

A simple and stylish steel back-brace helps support your body without compromising the comfort the chair provides. The backrest´s organic lines run out in an elegantly shaped armrest that ensures optimal comfort over long periods of time. VL118 is the perfect chair for the family dining table.
Back in the 1960s, the VL118 was our best-selling dining chair, both in Denmark and abroad. The comfortable fabric and timeless design prompted us to re-launch the VL118 in 2014. Our goal was to bring the chair back home to Denmark, and that is exactly what we have done by enhancing its Nordic style.
